Using these Procedures (URS)
The Urgent Response Service (URS) has the primary purpose of enabling people to live in their own homes for longer, and to improve their quality of life.
URS reablement is provided to adults (over 18 years old) who have been identified as needing help to manage their daily living activities, and who live within the boundaries of Southampton City.
The aims of this short-term service are to enable people to live as independently as possible, and to focus on regaining or retaining the skills necessary for daily living. Adults are assisted to reduce their need for ongoing care provision and encouraged to do as much as possible for themselves.
The procedures on tri.x will support practitioners to discharge the functions under Part One of the Care Act 2014. Procedures and processes relating to direct service provision can be found in the Local Resource area or outside of this site.
